Webhooks - is it possible?

Hello guys,

Just installed Pimatic and I’m really happy with it.

I installed Pimatic on my Intel NUC, now I want a way to access my Raspberry Pi (which has a 433 module on it) so I can add some of my KlikAanKlikUit devices.

I’m thinking about the following solution: Raspberry Pi notices a 433 signal that the door is opened, it will send an URL to Pimatic and based on that incoming url Pimatic will start to execute a rule.

Maybe I’m making things way to complicated so I’d be happy to hear if you guys have better suggestions.

I don’t think it’s possible (yet?) to start a rule but you could set a variable via the API and in your rule “IF $variable changes THEN execute bla bla”

nope, not natively possible - or maybe via api as @incmve said.
what about using a nano with 433mhz receiver and sender at the nuc directly?
you don’t have to use the pi then anymore.

@incmve @leader21 Thanks for the replies! The problem is that I have a 433 shield on my Raspberry Pi so not easily moved to an Arduino. I do have some other 433 modules but they have a really bad range (the deal extreme ones)…

I’ll just start with the API variables and see if it will work.

in the meantime you could order an arduino nano and an 3400RF set for a homeduino solution. the costs are low when ordering in china
