Ping your phone (or any network-device) on name

I use my phone to start some rules if its present.
The way I did this was to use ping a ip-number.
In the devices it said.

I have a windows phone (and therefore cannot assign a static ip-number to the phone).

You can guess what happened. My phone got a new ip-number assigned from the dhcp-sever and my rules stopped working.

Probably an open door, but anyhow I am going to kick it.

You also can ping on name!!!
I looked up the name of my phone in the router. It was wp-hans.fritz.box

The new device definition for the phone became.

“name”: “Mobiel Hans”,
“class”: “PingPresence”,
“host”: “wp-hans.fritz.box”,
“interval”: 5000
},

Works like a charm.
So you can check for every network-device as long as you know it name this way. Even if it ip-number is changed.
