Hi! Some of you guys seem to have your Raspberries connected via WLAN. I was interested in what adapters are you using. I bought an EDUP one from DealExtreme, but I am having problems with it. It seems to be dropping packets like hell, so it might be a power issue, Raspberry compability issue or other issue.

I am using the TP-LINK TL-WN725N with the community drivers it works 100% with the recent build in drivers I get packet loss.

I have three EDIMAX EW-7811UN. They works out of the box with out any problems on raspberry A/B/2.

Thanks for replies! I would like to add a followup question: do you have powered USB hubs on them?
-
In my case the EW-7811UN is connected direct to the Raspi-USB-Port without any USB hub. The raspi is powerd by a 5V/2A Powersupply.

@magic-tune Thank you for the reply.

I am using NETGEAR WG111 which is available for 1,95 EUR at Pollin.de
Pros:
- Runs out of the box, no additional driver needed - Note, newer Netgear model may be troublesome!)
- Rock Solid and good reach in my setup
Cons:
- Only supports 802.11 b/g (54 Mbps)
- With Raspi A you will need a hub or Y cable for power supply - Raspi 2 works fine without hub, I haven’t tested model B
