Messages in screen / alert

Hi all,

Not sure if i am in the correct part of the forum but i will ask anyway. Lets say i got 2 variables and i have one set to 1, and my wife presses a button which puts the second variable to 1. I dont want that and i could make a rule that they dont collied with each other but i also would like some kind of pop-up that is telling me something is wrong. Is there something in the rules section where i can make a pop-up appear.

Well, you could always make a pushbullet/pushover message rule, which gets send when that happens.
Alternatively you can make a VariablesDevice which a rule can set the string to “something’s wrong” when something happens.

I don’t think you can control SweetAlert (the popup that says “Whoops something went wrong” or “No connection”) via Pimatic rules, since it is kind of part of the layout, not the program itself. I might be wrong though.

as far as i know there’s no “alert” function right now. as kitsunen said, you can use message forwarder either via pushover, pushbullet or email services.

would be a feature request to have a function like “alert” to be used in rules to show some popup message imho
