[Solved] How can i show the Dimlevel in a room
hello,
can i add a textfield to a room, that show the dim level of my dimmer?
regard
yes you can, with a variables device:
expression is the variable of the dimmer device.
{
"id": "livingroom-dimmer",
"name": "Livingroom dimmer",
"class": "VariablesDevice",
"variables": [
{
"name": "dimlevel",
"expression": "$livingroom.dimlevel",
"type": "number"
}
]
},
hm. pimatic will not start.
can i add this over the webgui?
Yes, i always change the config from the webui, it tells you if its right or wrong before restarting.
ok, thx. i create a variable, and the new vaiable show the value.
but how can i add this to the page?
i try ADD NEW ITEM, but pimatic dont show this variable.
here is my config
http://pastebin.com/RdF4wbBZ
“variables”: [
{
“name”: “dimmer_level”,
“expression”: “$rfswitch.dimlevel”
}
]
You don’t need to create a variable. Which dimmer device would you see there?
this one?
{
"id": "rfswitch",
"name": "Dimmer",
"class": "HomeduinoRFDimmer",
"protocols": [
{
"name": "dimmer1",
"options": {
"id": 17494366,
"unit": 0
}
}
]
}
If so, than add this:
{
"id": "livingroom-dimmer",
"name": "Livingroom dimmer",
"class": "VariablesDevice",
"variables": [
{
"name": "dimlevel",
"expression": "$rfswitch.dimlevel",
"type": "number"
}
]
},
Under device?
Yes its a device.
Its a device that show values. You can add more values if you want. I use one for electricity:
THX, Danke, mercy
another question.
how can i add those button
Left: Dimlevel -
Rigth: Dimlevel +
Middle: Value of Dimlevel
Is there anywhere a Guide for this settings?
regard
@noxx Thats not possible. But why don’t you use the normal slider dimmer?
I use it, but its difficult to dim to e.g. 1% or 8%
433mhz devices only support 15 dim values.
maybe you can work with a buttons device “+” and “-” buttons and rules for triggering + or - for each 1 step then.

what mean this?
dimlevel 15 = 100%
or
dimlevel 100 = 100%
0 = 0%
15 = 100%
ok, thx. i understand now
the slider of my dimmer shows 0-100%
how can i change this, that the slider use 0-15 with 1-steps?
@noxx you cant, unless you modify Pimatic.
means that, all 7,14% is one Dimlevel-Step?
Dimlevel 0 = 0%
Dimlevel 1 = 0,1 % - 7,1%
Dimlevel 2 = 7,2% - 14,4 %
…
Dimlevel 15 = 100 %
