Homeduino - Control 12V DC Motor and Relays
Hello,
i want control a DC motor via Homedruino.
At 6:00 should the machine turns left
At 22:00 should the machine turns right.
Here is a scetch. i hope anyone unserstand what i mean.

You can better use a h-bridge. Like a L293NE. Connect the motor enable pin to 5v. Then you need 2 switches for stop, left and right.
Edit: some more info for H-bridge:
Pin1 = 5V
Pin 2 = homeduino output 1
Pin 3 = output 1 to motor
Pin 4/5 = GND
Pin 6 = output 2 to motor
Pin 7 = homeduino output 2
Pin 8 = 5V
Pin 16 = 12V
the rest is NC
Motor stop = homeduino output 1 off homeduino output 2 off
motor forward = homeduino output 1 on homeduino output 2 off
motor backward = homeduino output 1 of homeduino output 2 on

Is it possible to control a arduino Motor shield with pimatic (plug&play)?
motor shield should also work. you don’t need a sketch for this. It can work with homeduino. All you need is 2 outputs like:

with this rules:
if its 6:00 then turn motor-switch1 on and turn motor-switch2 off
if its 22:00 then turn motor-switch1 off and turn motor-switch2 on
and connect these to pins to the H-bridge (pin 2 and 7)

@noxx Pin 16 should be 5V and Pin 8 should be 12V, the rest should be right.

i hope this is now right.
im not sure with GND (DC motor) on PIN 12 of the L293.
u dont say nohting about the the magnetic.switch and the
push.button. so i think that this also ok.

@noxx GNDs on l293 are all connected to each other, so fine.
the switches are fine. But i don’t know if homeduino enabled the internal pull-ups by default.
If you get strange readings from the switches, it means the internal pull-ups are not enabled. You can attach your own pull-up resistors (10k). like this:
Edit: i looked at the homeduino code and it doesn’t seem to have the internal pull-ups enabled. So you have to attach 10k resistors.
3x resistors between 5V and push button ?
@noxx between 5V and the inputs and the switches, so its always connected to 5V even when switch is open.

(i changed also the pin number of the L293, PIN 9-16 was wrong.

@noxx pin 9 doesn’t have to be connected. Pin 16 has to be connected (5v). switches look look.
I will make a New sketch. I dont wont kill my Hardware

Can i use a 15k or 5k instead 10k?
yes no problem, use 15k. The internal pull-ups of a arduino are around 40-50K.
