TLS support for pimatic-calendar2 plugin

Hey folks,

tried to get the calendar2 plugin working with Google Calendar…

debug log says:

URL works perfectly in webbrowser:
https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/johnny%40gmail.com/private-12345678/basic.ics

is TLS indeed required for communication to Google? and does the plugin support it in any way?
