I am looking for a simple solution for indicating an up and running pimatic by flashing a LED which is connected to GPIO pin of the Raspberry Pi.
Blinking LED on GPIO when Pimatic is running
If the criterium is ‘Pimatic is working and processing rules’, the following is a way to solve it
You need the pimatic-gpio plugin with a GpioSwitch called 'still-running-led’
Configure the GpioSwitch with the gpio pin the led is connected to.
Create the following rule:
when every 2 seconds then switch still-running-led on and after 1 second switch still-running-led off'
As soon as pimatic stops the led will stop blinking and stays on or off.
And this is just one way off creating a heartbeat led.
Thanks, I didn’t guess that such a plugin exists. I will try it.
