Update of website - especially plugins and devices

Hi all,

I’m a big fan of pimatic and active user for many years. Although the home automation has developed very quickly, for every of my requirements there was a solution in the pimatic universe. Even for integration my nuki smart lock or by implementing a plugin for my switchbots.

Thanks to all the active contributors and those that helped in the past.
Nevertheless for new users I think pimatic looks very outdated. Rarely new releases and the device page for example is out of date. Also a lot of new plugins aren’t listed on the web site. I was surprised when I took a look at @bertreb github profile, how many plugins were there I didn’t know of.

What do other users think of this? What would be a way to improve this? Pull Requests on the website repository?

@carlptr The plugin list on the web site is updated automatically, by a scheduled updater script. Unfortunately the updater is failing occasionally thanks to usage restrictions on the Github-API and a heisenbug in the code. I’ll try to restart the updater.

Regarding the web-site itself anyone can always make PRs. I am happy to check PRs this as I don’t expect too many changes anyway. However, deploying web site updates is a different story as, currently, this is only possible for the site owner. I’ll contact @bertreb for a private discussion on the matter.
