@remoterob I don’t think there is a suitable plugin for this type of device right now

@RemoteRob, if you want i can write a plugin for the ina 219. I don’t use/have this device, so you would need to have some time for testing.
@bertreb , Hi , I would really apreciate your help , do you have experience with Unipi and Evok software ? I was just looking to change a analog input and copy it for ( power input ?)
Is it easy to make a copy and change it and get it to the Evok devices ? and Pimatic devices?
kind regards Rob
I’m not a Unipi / Evok user.
The plugin i’m talking about, is for connecting to an ini 219 device directly to the rpi (pimatic is running on), via the I2C bus (4 wires)
That plugin would made the values, the ina 219 is measuring, available in Pimatic.
The Unipi / Evok is not involved in this approach. But if an unipi-evok is mounted on the rpi, i’m not sue if the I2C bus is still available.
If you to want use the Unipi for the I2C connection to the ina 219, the pimatic-unipi-evok plugin needs to be modified, to support that.
Hello folks , Bertreb wrote a nice plugin for us for the ina 219 with pimatic .
Works super good , version 0.0.8 for measure in Ampere and interval set to 1000 for refresh every second .
perfect for measure your voltage up to 26 volt and max current - and + 3,2 Amperes
Tanks Bertrep , and succes everyone with your measure project !!
Hello, it is also possible for some use cases to run the ina219 on an ESP8266 with tasmota firmware. The drivers for ina219 are already integrated in the tasmota-sensor binary. For example on a Sonoff. The data transmission then runs via mqtt.
But still nice when @bertreb makes the effort and writes a plugin.
