Combine a value comparison (e.g. <=) with for (for 30 minutes)

I’m trying to adjust my rules to ensure they are triggering only if the condition is applicable for a while (to avoid triggering several times when the value is in the fringe and to filter out potential instantaneous outliers). An example:

when moisture of Palmera <= 42 % for 30 minutes then mail…

However, it seems not to be working. Do you know any way to do something like what I’m asking?

I have similar triggers for tules and it works for me.

Maybe you can try when palmera.moisture <= 42 for 30 minutes then mail...
This is the way I have realized my trigger. I just don’t like the written way…

Thanks for the suggestion, but sadly it is not working.

I’ve been trying for several days, and if I use the condition $planta8b.moisture < 38, it works perfectly.

However if I use the condition $planta8b.moisture < 38 for 30 minutes, it is never being activated. I’ve even checked in the graph that the variable has been below 38 during more than 30 minutes (actually it is at 15 for more than one hour).

Any idea why this may not be working? The variable is coming from a mesh device, which is updating every 5 minutes.

Did you try [$planta8b.moisture < 38] for 30 minutes.Alternative is creating a Dummy switch or presence sensor that switches state on the condition $planta8b.moisture < 38. The rule becomes If dummy-switch is on for 30 minutes

Really have no idea. I have for example such a rule which works fine: when [$sonnensensor-status = "OK" and $aussenbedingungen.lux <= $trigger-dunkel-lx.input for 66 seconds] or [$sonnensensor-status = "NOK" and its dusk] then set $lichtverhaeltnisse = "dunkel""

I’ve been trying and bertreb’s one about using dummy switch worked. Actually it is kind of useful for doing other stuff similar to a states machine.
