After a quick scan of wunderground-coffee; it seems this is a JSON.parse error message.
So the data received from your sensor/device isn’t valid json. Thats the reason why the values are unknown.
It’s a warning and the next received data could be ok. Is that the case or do the values stay ‘unknown’?
ok.
I started using Wunderground for my new Alecta WS5500 weather station this afternoon (working fine on my iPhone).
Then I tried the Pimatic plugin and have UNKNOWN data since.
Do I have to wait a day for getting data? Creation of the device in Pimatic was about 3 hrs ago.
In Pimatic Events I see

Im not a wunderground user and the system works like this.
Your Ws-5500 sensor is sending the data to the weather underground cloud.
Via the wunderground plugin you get to the the weather data from that cloud, based on sensor id, city, etc.
Is this the right assumption?
@bertreb
Yes this is the right assumption.
I guess you are right about the JSON being incorrect on receiving data.
I now see in the pimatic-daemon.log:
21:00:04.408 [pimatic-wunderground] info: Reloading history weather data...
21:00:04.730 [pimatic-wunderground] warn: [SyntaxError: Unexpected token ]
I will ask the builder of the plugin @SaxnPaule what is wrong.
See https://forum.pimatic.org/topic/4658/problem-to-get-pimatic-wunderground-running/5
I have started to work on a new plugin using the dark sky API, but at the moment I have too much work to do.
@SaxnPaule may be you can add a notice to the README of the plugin to inform about the end of service notice. I’ll also add to plugin to the blacklist
"It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.", Hofstadter's Law
@mwittig
The whole purpose for me is to see the data of my weatherstation in Pimatic.
Will this be possible with your Dark Sky solution?
I already use the OpenWeather plugin for region weather forecast.
@mwittig i see the issue was already addressed :
Darksky sound great. I couldn’t see if its also covering current data sources like weather underground, buienrader or openweatherforecast. Or its an extra source?

I don’t think dark sky covers these data sources. See their description of data source for details

No. That’s not possibly as dark sky does not cover the wundergound station network.
Apparently there is a replacement API for owners/contributors of a Personal Weather Station (PWS) operated by the IBM Weather Company which contains
Current observations from the PWS network
5 day daily forecast
PWS historical data
PWS lookup by geocode, zip code and location
Call volume: 1500/day, 30/minute
API Documentation: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1eKCnKXI9xnoMGRRzOL1xPCBihNV2rOet08qpE_gArAY/edit
@SaxnPaule May be you can have a look and check whether or not wunderground plugin could be retrofit for use with the new API

@mwittig Thanks for your clear answer on this.

Since I’m just a simple Pimatic user with no skills to build a plugin myself I hope someone who can might pick this up.
Would be great
