@djmvt correct, It says so in the main post of this thread

@djmvt Understood. To be fair I am not even using telegram myself anymore. Just providing maintenance and support as a courtesy to others for now.

@dan that’s absolutely great! And I’m thankful for the telegram plugin in the first place, it enabled a lot of possibilities for my configuration. So thanks for this plugin. It’s just that development of pimatic has stalled for a while now so no support for recent wifi smart switches, no Google home support etc. That’s mostly the reason to switch to another platform. And honestly? I don’t like that. Pimatic has been running fine for a few years, got my whole home automated with countdown timers and all so going to a new platform is like learning a new language.
Anyway that’s another discussion -
@djmvt I’m still on Pimatic as the rule engine is unsurpassed really. And from a developer perspective its a great framework. Or I am just too lazy to educate myself on anything else

@djmvt Pimatic and Node-Red is a good pair.
Think about that.
Everything Pimatic can´t do, mostly Node-Red will do.
If you don´t want to use Node-Red (and MQTT), have a look at HA-Bridge, i think it “speaks” Google too.I hate this complicated stuff that other systems have, it´s not User friendly. In my case (i´m 50 now) i have to learn a language everytime from the beginning if i´m not using it for a while
Thats annoying! If you want to use Node-Red, don´t install the Node-Red-Plugin in Pimatic. The plugin comes with an old version of Node-Red. Install Node-Red in the normal way and the Pimatic-Plugin from “manage pallette” inside Node-Red.

@michael-rudek that’s actually a great tip! Haven’t looked at node red yet, so with a quick search node red connects different platforms together?
That sounds interesting! Let’s see if that solves the issues I’m having now, thanks. -
@djmvt Node-Red can do much more, but then you have to learn a little bit of java script ( or google it) Its made for calculating and handling data.
But simple connections are easy.
There are many Plugins like Pimatic, Alexa, Googlehome, Miflora, GPIO´s and other stuff.
Wich makes some (outdated) Plugins of Pimatic obsolete in my case.
I´m using for most of my sensors MQTT, wich Pimatic can handle. The other things go to Node-Red and then to MQTT or directly to Pimatic. In Summary:
Handling and calculating Data, things Pimatic cant handle = Node-Red.
Visualization, Rules, everthing that is “switched” = Pimatic
Alexa Commands = HA-Bridge (but the same problems like the Plugin for Pimatic)I can´t test if the Google Home Plugin for Node-Red works, because i have no Google Home, you have to find out by yourself
