Still going strong here, just setting up a new instance on a raspberry pi 4

How many active users do we have?
-
Using pimatic for multiple year now.
But not very active on the forum. -
I also still use pimatic
-
Also still using pimatic, since a lot of years. I changed from RF433MHz now more to MQTT devices and be very glad about this.
My next plan is to migrate to raspberry4 and it would be very interested for me to know if there is anybody else also using a raspi4.
I know, never touch or change a running system, but i will try. -

I am using pimatic in early 2014, my trigger was actually an article at First in connection with pilihgt, later came Homeduino.
Since then my system has been growing and growing.
Currently a pimatic on Raspberry 3 and a pimatic as VM on Proxmox (Intel NUC). Mqtt on a VM, ZigBee (ConBee) on a VM, many ESP8266 devices (with and without sensors). Over two thousand lines of rules have accumulated in the config and over 150 devices over the years.
For me it would be a disaster if pimatic would not exist anymore.
In the forum I am more or less active. Sometimes I am not to be seen there for a few weeks. But there are also other things…
Mostly I need help, less I can help, but at least I try to help if I think I can 😊.
Many thanks to @michbeck100, @mwittig, @bertreb and all the others I didn’t mention here. Many thanks to all who keep pimatic alive."Really, I'm not out to destroy Microsoft. That will just be a completely unintentional side effect." 09-28-2003, LINUS TORVALDS (http://www.nytimes.com)

Hey there everyone, long time no see, at least from my side
Haven’t been here for ~3 years I guess, but returned today for a question about a new plugin as I had updated my system yesterday (since ages, had been running totally fine for over 5 or maybe more years). The issue has already been taken care of and everything is fine once again.
Looking at some files on my system I estimate it has been running from at least 2015 (with some restarts now and then, obviously). I have pondered now and then about moving to Home Assistant, but haven’t found a tempting reason to do so as I am still really pleased with pimatic. I am moving toward a more MQTT based setup though, to add more flexibility in several aspects.
A lower usage of the forum or lower usage of downloads might as well indicate a happy group of people using the software while not having a lot of issues or feature requests I have been a very happy user and have not had a need to drop in here as the software is working as I want it to.It really pleases me to see the forum still going strong and a lot of people being active in using and developing this awesome piece of software! Just wanted to write a quick thank you and give a well deserved hattip to all of the community and the devs in special! I’ll try to drop in here a bit more often, in the mean time please keep up the good work! You rock!

I am still using pimatic on 9 Raspis …
Must be some record!
May be. I use Pimatic as a kind of intelligent gateway for my IOBroker instance.
My installations all run on RaspberryPis (2-4) - sometimes very complex and are absolutely reliable.
In my opinion, Pimatic is superior to IOBroker in some respects or much more effective.
I am not very good in English and therefore do not participate so often in the forum - but I am always curious when there is something new and therefore hope that it will continue.
My last action was the installation on a Raspi 4 under nodejs 12 and lo and behold … that also works …
I would like to expressly thank the developers and hope that it will go on for a long time!

Using pimatic for many years now.
But not active on the forum anymore.
In the past, support was better. Now I have given up making feature requests because there is no improvement to be expected. A release plan is missing and the improvement of the kernel seems to be no longer in focus. I don’t need 1000 plugins, but a reasonable kernel with a smart user interface. -
Due to the end of the Homewizard-support, I had to move to another package. I was looking for a nodejs-based package. I have installed Iobroker and Pimatic. I favoured Pimatic since it has good support for all my Homewizard RF433 devices. Homeduino is a very powerfull plugin. Since I use Typescript, I find it hard to use Coffeescript. A nice development language, but missing the Typescript-momentum. In my feeling, Coffeescript may be a hurdle for developers to invest in further Pimatic-development. According to the npm statistics, there seems to be substantial more downloads for Iobroker vs Pimatic. A pity, since I like Pimatic way above Iobroker. Extremely strong rules-engine and more user-friendly than Iobroker. But I do not want to change to another home automation system again after the HomeWizard debacle. So more attention of the community would be very welcome.
