Are there any plans to include homematic components as plugin?

Hello together,

i use pimatic to control my switches and temperature sensors. At the moment i use homematic components (rollladenaktoren) to control my rollladen. i use this with a HMLAN adapter from homematic.
Are there any plans to include a plugin to control this HMLAN Adapter from Homematic. The Homematic Components are working on 868Mhz.

first of all we need to get pimatic runnign on 868 MHz, then there should be the possibility to integrate devices on RF basis.

imho this is a good feature request

@leader21 I think there are different integration options

• Integration with a Homematic LANGateway
• Integration with a Homematic USB Stick
• Integration with CUL with a homematic firmware. See also pimatic-coc for FS20
• roll your own
• other?

There may be limitations with some of the options listed above, e.g. most likely, encryption will not be supported by the firmware for CUL.

It may also be sensible to have look at imatic-max. Unfortunately, Max! and Homematic do not appear to be compatible, however, I suppose they have a lot in common.

EDIT: Using the FHEM firmware image, the CUL stick also supports Homematic a.k.a. BidCoS. So, pimatic-cos may be a good starting point. As the CUL-Stick is rather expensive you can also roll your own - see http://blog.gummibaer-tech.de/cul-stick-868433-im-selbstbau/

You are right, several options to be considered. Well the homegrown cul seems to be a cheap solution. Would be an interesting evaluation for pimatic.

I didnt understand at the moment how this coc works. I don’t have a CUL Adapter, only a HMLAN (http://www.elv.de/homematic-lan-konfigurations-adapter.html) from Homematic (This is the Sender/Receiver component to work with the homematic aktoren.)

Could the doc plugin work with the HMLAN Adapter?

I’d like to refresh this topic with a new homematic module that can be connected directly to the raspberry pi. I stumbled over this: http://www.elv.de/controller.aspx?cid=726&detail=52818
It’s a fairly cheap module with 868 MHz (around 20 €) and there is a new SDK from the homematic manufacturer eq-3: https://github.com/eq-3/occu.
This SDK installs a server that takes XML-RPC command to control the module. Based on this a new plugin would be possible, i think.

Maybe it’s even possible to use this module with pimatic-coc?

I have also read this article which was on print in the Oktober/November edition of the ELV journal. I think it is great news that parts of the software stack is open source now which even allows for several integration options. apart from using the XML-RPC server it may also be possible to use the serial port driver directly similar to COC/CUL. I am happy to collaborate on this.

Really nobody is working on this helpful plugin?
I have to switch from zwave to homematic because the Danalock works not properly and the keymatic is cheaper. Homematic gives more Chances to integrate devices.
So it would be nice to get this plugin.

I might work on this integration, but first I need some components .
Haven’t had the time yet to work on this project.

What kind of homematic components do you need? Maybe I can order it for you.
Unfortunately I couldn’t spent time on this useful development but we want to use 8 Homatic-Thermostat at our company and we would appreciate using these devices with pimatic (FHEM was planned in former times but now pimatic seems to win). So let me know. Bye

Just wanted to add that there already is a plugin to control homematic thermostats: https://github.com/meyerd/pimatic-homegear. See also https://www.homegear.eu/index.php/Hardware_and_Software_Requirements for hardware/software requirements. It seems to support all the hardware options which have been outlined earlier on this thread. Homegear is also used as part of FHEM.

Thanks for the link. Does ist work with the CUL-Stick @RPi? We don’t own (and want own) a CCU.

Could it be the BidCoS®-Service IP-Adresse? At my point of view it would be the RPi’s-IP, wouldn’t it?

Yes, it should. We should give it a try - I am not sure how many users have tried the plugin yet, but homegear should work as it has wider acceptance outside of the pimatic community. I’ll give a try for sure. I have an unfinished CUL clone and I am also thinking of using the “TI CC1101” as an alternative.

@Hr-FS Since i haven’t really had the time to look into homegear, i wasn’t aware that this should do everything you need. I think i might extend the pimatic-homegear plugin to support more types of devices, because i would like to control some switches (like HM-LC-Sw4-WM).

@mwittig ok - so the best way for newbies like me would be starting with the homematic-manager without pimatic. I have to ask my son if he can do the job.

@michbeck100 Do you use thermostat with your plugin? Would be nice to see how it looks like. There is only little information at the descriptionpage of the plugin. Guess I have to start with hm-manager first to understand.

1. This is not my plugin .
2. I’m not using the plugin at the moment, because i have no homematic devices, yet. But i’m planning to buy a switch actuator.
3. The thermostat will look like e.g. the DummyThermostat, there’s no extra UI. !
