i have an automatic garage door which is triggered via a relay. The relay is controlled via GPIO. The relay is closed via a button and then directly opened after 1sec. So from pimatic i can only trigger a status change. So a press will open the garage door if it’s closed or the other way round. The problem is, that i have several other ways to control the garage door (wall switch, remote switch in the car).
To get a state of the garage door, i installed a homematic windows sensor.
Now my Problem: How to represent the state of the homematic sensor in pimatic?
I have node-red running on my homematic, so several options are avaiable.
As far as i figured out, is it not possible to change the state of a button/shutter control device via api without trigger an action (Set shutter to down without use the “down” action).
So two other possibilities from my point of view:
- Set the current state via node-red to a pimatic variable and use the variable as the button text? Is this possible?
- How does the “getPositionCommand” work? How often is it queried?
