to have bit more control about some cellar-windows, I ordered 3 of the Kerui D026 and tested arround over the last days.
I already read all the former experiences in the forum, but I’m not happy with the sensors in the end.
Yes they are very small and look quiet nice, but they have some issues:
- By using the contact3 plugin, the inverted signals (open/close) also leads to the fact, that the sabotage-switch on the back works the other way around and so becomes needless. For sure this is only interessting if you use the sensors for an alarm-system, for which I personally would not use standard 433Mhz technology
- For me the K.O. criterium is the trouble with the HF-signals. On one window, which is in the inside mounted planar to the walls beside, the sensor works well. On all other windows, which are mounted in an reveal, the sensors do not work.
I tested it nearly all around the windows, in all positions and including also changing the antenne of the sensors (incl. a 17,3cm straight wire), but nothing helps.
Keeping the sensors in my hands, only 10-20cm away from the window-frame, they work. I can also go with the sensor on another floor (Pimatic: cellar, Sensor: 1st floor) and they work. So it seems to be the case, that the plastic-windows have a metal frame inside which, however, ‘absorbes’ the sensors signal. I have absolutely no other answer on this currently.
@SaxnPaule, you wrote that you are happy with the sensors. My question: Does your windows have wooden frames? - normaly they do not have a metal frame inside.
Spending some additional research in the forum,. I found this hint: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/5pcs-433MHz-EV1527-two-way-wireless-intelligent-door-window-sensor-APP-control-wifi-door-detector-for/32642367411.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.52.dCK1Us by @magic-tune. Do they work well? Do you evtl. have experiences with plastic/metal-windows mounted in an reveal?
Regards and a nice evening
