Pimatic doesn't start up after database deletion

The last error always happens. With the old database I still have as backup the system comes up and shows this as error in the messages box.

I want to recreate the database, because there comes up deleted devices after each startup. I deleted them long time ago and they seems to come back to the database after each startup… In the past I never had problems with recreating a new database.

@ortin devices are determined by your config, not by the sqlite database. It only stores variables and timestamps if i am correct. Non the less, please look into using a sqlite browser instead of removing the database. Back to the problem;

Please do;

mv  /home/pimatic/pimatic-database.sqlite /home/pimatic/pimatic-database.sqlite.old

sudo pimatic.js

And copy the output here please.
After it gives you the variable error, it stops running or is it stuck?

That is in the end what I did before. The differend is only that I moved the old db to a other folder (BKP).

The system stucks during startup, but the daemon is running, due to the result of the related PID by typing in sudo pimatic.js status in the seconf command shell. But the GUI shows still connection error.

Regarding the deleted devices which generates the a problem messages within the db view:

This devices are not more part of the config. I searched for “bt-klingel” and “terrassetuerkontakt” and nothing can be found. I have deleted them from the device section via GUI. But they still comes up with every restart. So from my point of view there is something related to this devices still in the DB. But the system can not find the fitting stuff in the config.

@ortin alright, so the daemon keeps running, looks like it is frozen, and you cant access the gui, right?

Could you backup your current config.json and create an empty one and see if it runs?

As I learned there are other user with the same problem, see. Will now downgrade to 0.9.42…

I am now on 0.9.42 for a while. I tried once more to use a virgin config.json. Now at least pimatic comes up… Seems something within my config.json is wrong that pimatic doesn’t comes up with a new DB. But I really have no idea what this could be! In the past it was not a big deal to delete the DB to start from new.

As already written some post before. When I start pimatic from the command line I can see that the initialization itself seems to be okay, I can see the error there which I get every startup:

Could this not handled/unhandled bla bla be my problem?

Aren’t there some pros which are able to help? I’m really scared about the behavior, the story could really end when my db gets broken…

Yes I did!

It came out, that the root cause for the problem was the telegram plugin. After I deactivated the plugin pimatic came up with a new db. After pimatic came up I was able to reactivate the telegram plugin and everything works well now. Seems the telegram plugin can not by part of the config for the initial boot of pimatic.

Dan the dev is not more active since month on the board. Has some other dev an idea what could be the problem with the plugin and what could be a solution?
