Raspberry with RazBerry (zwave.me) Modul and Fan?

Hey,

i have a Raspberry with the Zwave-Modul from Zwave.me. The Modul blocks both 5V Pins and also blocks the Airflow to the CPU because the Zwave circuit board sits direct over the CPU, so the CPU and the Zwave-Modul runs pretty hot.

i plan to move the Zwave-Modul away from the GIO-Ports with cables and also install a Fan for the CPU but i dont know if the Raspberry has enough power to run the Modul and the Fan when i split one of the two 5v Pins to the Fan and the Module (i use a 2A power adapter for my Raspberry).

Has anyone experiences with stuff like that or so?

I don’t have experience with that but I would make a little circuit with a transistor who switch the fan. So you can drive the fan directly over the power adapter.
