Setup

The Gateway must be in developer mode, when setting to developer mode you will also receive an password, save it because you need it to add the plugin.

Just install the plugin from the plugin page within pimatic, enable it and enter the password you received from the gateway by setting it in developer mode.

To add devices, just go to the devices page in pimatic and press “discover devices”, the devices connected to the gateway should popup.

Enabling developer mode

• Select your Gateway in the MiHome app
• Go to the “…” menu on the top right corner and click “About”
• Tap the version number “Version : 2.XX” at the bottom of the screen repeatedly until you enable developer mode
• You should now have 2 extra options listed: local area network communication protocol and gateway information
• Choose local area network communication protocol
• Tap the toggle switch to enable LAN functions. Note down the developer key (something like: 91bg8zfkf9vd6uw7)
• Make sure you hit the OK button (to the right of the cancel button) to save your changes

I’m creating my first plugin, but I need some help. This is what I have right now:

I’m not used to coffee script and in daily life a PHP developer. Can some help me with this plugin? I don’t know how to make the motion sensor work.

I’m using this module, but its converted so it works with node v4.

Sure, will do. I’ll have a look at it on the weekend.

Got it working! For now the PIR sensor and the leak sensor.

I implemented the powerswitch, but I’m getting this error when turning it off with a rule:

Error on evaluation of rule condition of rule test: this.device.turnOff(...).then is not a function

Yes, I need some more devices, they are coming within the next 2 weeks, then I wil implement more.

Another nice gadget appears to be Aqara 1080p Cam “Gateway Edition” if you don’t mind to have a Chinese webcam with mandatory cloud services monitoring your home. It is a WiFI Cam with additional ZigBee support to send alarms to the Aqara Gateway. It may constitute an interesting option for setting up an alarm system based on Aqara sensors.

There also is a range of smart door locks and a curtain motor on sale, however, I am not sure these device meet European standards and, obviously, they are more expensive then the range of other devices on sale.

That lock looks nice, I want do order one, but can’t find if it works on European locks.

I would really like to see:

• option to put in pairing mode
• option to remove a device
• option to actively read info from the gateway
• option to talk to the gateway

@koffienl Yea I will implement a Gateway device then. Lets see what’s possible

@koffienl pairing is not implemented in the package I use. So I need to Add that manually. I thought you found a way to enable this, I saw it somewhere on tweakers. I need a raw api command.

I have all possible send and receive commands, will send them tomorrow.
Currently I’m using a extended script that publish everything on MQTT and listens on MQTT to receive commands and send them to the gateway.

Thanks for picking this up and thank you for your work.
Temperature and motion is working great (however I don’t get pressure values or lux values from my devices…)

For the wireless buttons (the round once, with click, double_click and long_press) I have a problem.

The buttons are recognized as “AqaraWirelessSwitch” not as buttons. So it will only have an on/off slider (which works fine).

I don’t know why the devices are not recognized by your addon…however the events submitted by my buttons are click, double_click and long_click_release or long_click_press.
The ones in your addon are doubleClick and longClickPress. Maybe thats the issue already?

How are the devices recognized / sorted into categories?

I have the latest firmware on my Xiaomi Gateway. I use the sensors/gateway from Xiaomi.

Edit: When I change my ‘switch’ to be recognized as a button (simply swap button and switch in the config files), I get the click event but any other event will trigger a click event as well…

@georg90 thanks for the feedback. I don’t have this button. I have ordered one. I will check what I can find.

Edit: new release (0.2.9) with fix for round button (v1) and option to disable pressure/lux for v1 of some sensors.

Thanks for the plugin, but it doesn’t seem to work for me. Could easily be my fault though.
I have inserted the c8d58bd46dju57 code you get in the Mihome app, in the password section from the plugin settings, is this correct?
Then when I restarted Pimatic i get the following:

I don’t know if these two errors are related, but there aren’t any Aquara devices showing up when I press the “discover devices” button. They also can’t be found in the drop down list when I trie to at a device manually.
