@temp yes it is, due to the fact that it uses nodejs which can be used on multiple operating systems.

@temp btw. the current Raspbian Release is based on Debian Stretch and Pimatic runs fine with it. The only issue I am aware of is the vhduino executable (part of homeduino) does not work, but there are forums posts on how to cope with this. Note, beyond, it is important to uninstall node.js from the fresh OS setup and install the required node.js v4.x version from Node.js
