I have been using the plugin now for a few weeks to smooth out the graph for my fridge, and as a little extra I’ve added the max an min values.

The sensor sends a new value every 10 minutes. I created a SimpleMovingAverageFilter with a size of 144 to get an average over 24 hrs. That seems to work properly but I had expected that the max and min values would only be displayed from the latest 144 samples. But that is not the case, it stays at the absolute values since creating the device.

Is that desired behaviour? If so, I’d like to be able to choose between the two. Or I’m I a bit strange in that?

Yes, right now, it is expected behavior, but is questionable whether or not that is desirable.

Note, the plugin provides a reset action to reset the statistical attributes. Thus, a workaround may be to add a rule for resetting the values at regular intervals, e.g. each day at midnight.

I think that I leave it for now, because the reset also means that the average graph will have breaks as well. But it’s good to have an option.
