How to updateDeviceByConfig with curl?

Hi guys,

bought a tp-link hs110 with power consumption measurement during the black friday sales, but have the issue that the device is switching constantly (almost daily) between two ip addresses. This is the only device in my network showing this problem.

As I do not know how to solve this, I think changing the pimatic config is an option.

I’ve found the “updateDeviceByConfig”, but don’t get the idea on how to pass this config part with curl.

After this call, do I need to trigger a pimatic config reload or is this automated?

I think it is feasible to update the device by a cron script which gets the current IP by arping on the mac. (arp|grep|awk)

Any help with the curl api call would be highly appreciated.

@markus-plessing Which router do you have?

I think @mwittig means that you can say many routers that it give the device over the mac adress allways the same IP.

DHCP is running with infinite lease time on an Belkin Play F7D4302 v1.
