@ortin pimatic.org has also hosting fees and isn’t free. That’s why everyone should support pimatic with donations, too.

Sure, that hopefully clear to every user here. But if the skill would come, why not host it here…
-
@ortin The skill itself cannot be hosted on pimatic.org. It must be hosted in the Amazon AWS cloud. They charge you for every request. The first 1 mio requests per month are free. This sounds a lot but if you host this for every pimatic user, this will probably exceeded every month.

Ahh, okay thats a different story! However, if a skill will be necessary to keep echo with pimatic working in future I will support this.

Hello,
I think for the work where it is done here you should make a small donation. I’m glad that there are Pimatic and the programmers, where all this possible.

It would be very great to have a official pimatic skill
pimatic + MySensors + Homeduino + z-way

I don’t understand: what would the skill change?
Basically, I would pay for something that brings me added value. One-off payments are preferable, but in this case periodic payments will not be avoided.
What are the estimated amounts?
-
@wajowi with the skill we could basically support every type of device that pimatic has by voice. This includes settting the color of rgb lights, asking for the temperature of sensors, set the temperature of thermostats with a command like “set the temperature to 20 degrees”, close a shutter with a proper command (even with percentage).
I think this is enough. Currently you can just say, turn on/off or dim.

@wajowi I think the amounts for this would be pretty small (maybe 6 to 12 € per year). Because you pay per CPU time it’s hard to tell. But it wouldn’t be possible for free.

Okay, thanks for the answer.
I am also satisfied with the current situation at the moment. The temperature query might still be interesting. And with a few euros a year, I don’t see any problem - that won’t make me poor.
-
6 or 12€ per year is not much for that.
you would pay for the amazon service. it’s not really for “coding”.well, our friends of iobroker have a native alexa skill too. i wonder how they fund it.

Personally I would pay these 6-12 euro a year gladly for this service, but how do you plan to avoid free loaders, which would increase the cost for the paying users?
-
@simonbove There would be no free users, its that simple
