activate switch with tasker

I have the following device that I want to activate from my smartphone with tasker:

With the content Type empty i get "error [pimatic]: expected param: actionString"
With the content Type application/json I get no error but it doesnt react anything

I have also read this:

How can I get tasker work with my switch in pimatic?

You can use the HTTP Post

1. register a Varable %Piuser
2. register a Varable %Pipass
3. set the Variable %Piuser to admin
4. set the Variable %Pipass to your PW
5. HTTP Post:

Server:Port

http//%Piuser:%Pipass@IP

Pfad

/api/execute-action

Data/File

Your device config is wrong.
The protocol switch2 used housecode and unitcode as a number and not an string.

Can you switch your activator in the pimatic gui? I think this should your first goal.

@magic-tune Thanks for your reply. I tried without variables. Pimatic user and password directly in adress. Also I think you forgot some " in the Data/File? My configuration in tasker:

But still I get no reaction in pimatic… What is wrong here? Is there a way to debug?

Have you tried to restart tasker? Sometimes it needs do close and Start again.

The strange thing is that tasker seems to work correct. Because when I delete the"application/json" in content Type then I get “error [pimatic]: expected param: actionString”

So the command from tasker seems to receive at pimatic without any user/password problems.
Probably pimatic is the problem and not tasker?

my taskter to switch something looks like this:

HTTPGET

Server:Port = admin:password@ip:port
Pfad= api/device/devicename/toggle

than i added a tasker shortcut with the device and it works perfectly.

try it first in the browser with:

admin:password@ip:port/api/device/devicename/toggle

I tried the HTTP Post again with tasker and the Samsung S3 from my wife. I used exactly the same settings and it is working!
So the fault is my smartphone/OS. I have a jiayu G3 with Custom ROM MIUI… maybe there is a kind of firewall that blocks JSON-posts.

But I dont care about this way anymore because the HTTPGET is working! @p4co86 Thank you so much!
