Error in rule but it works with no problem (solved)

Hi,

I get lots of error messages from a rule. But the rule is working fine.
The rule is :

execute "ssh pi@192.168.0.251 python /home/pi/metering/metering-klimaat.py $temperatuurbinnenMinMax.Temperatuur binnen $omgevingBinnen.Luchtvochtigheid binnen $omgevingBinnen.Licht binnen $temperatuurbuitenMinMax.Temperatuur buiten $omgevingBuiten.Luchtvochtigheid buiten $omgevingBuiten.Licht buiten $KlimaatBuiten.Pressure 0 $Regenmeter.mm-Regen-nu"

Its send with a lot of parameters info to a python script. This way data gets stored in a mysql database.

The error messages are:

error [pimatic-shell-execute]: [ShellActionHandler] Error: Array.isArray(tags)
error [pimatic]: rule sendklimaatdata error executing an action: Error: Array.isArray(tags)
error [pimatic]: Error on evaluation of rule condition of rule sendklimaatdata: undefined

My question is why I get errormessages while the execution of the rule works fine.

Presumably, one of the attribute values is null when the action is evaluated. Can you please check.

So to debug I changed the rule with an echo to a textfile:

execute “ssh pi@192.168.0.251 echo $temperatuurbinnenMinMax.Temperatuur binnen $omgevingBinnen.Luchtvochtigheid binnen $omgevingBinnen.Licht binnen $temperatuurbuitenMinMax.Temperatuur buiten $omgevingBuiten.Luchtvochtigheid buiten $omgevingBuiten.Licht buiten $KlimaatBuiten.Pressure 0 $Regenmeter.mm-Regen-nu > /home/xbian/debug.txt”

The result is this:
20.5 51 13 9.1 81.5 69 1023.6 0 0

So no null values and all values appear in my sql database (with the original rule).

I don’t get the errormessage all the time I see now but only so now and then. But I never missed info in my mysql database.

So still my question is, why do I get error messages despite the execution of the rule works fine.

Solved:

I also saw a result like:
20.5 51.1 13 9.399999999999999 80.3 75 1023.4 0 0

Somehow one result is strange ( every value has only 1 digit after the point). So I used the “round” function to get rid of the 999999’s:

round(($KlimaatBuiten.Temperature+$TempbuitenCorrectie),1)

Yes, it did.
I don’t understand why the variable gets this value. I calculate with numbers with only 1 decimal ( only subtract). But the round function solved it so I am satisfied.

Ok. So, if I understand this correctly, it is a shortcoming of the python script not being able to process number arguments with multiple decimal digits?!

I don’t know what caused the error.
The only thing I know (and tried) is that rounding up the number to one decimal solved the problem.
For me thats enough…
