hey guys,
i’m an absolute beginner in pimatic but since now, i got nearly everything working in my small “smart home”.
except one thing, i hope you dont wanna kill me after that :D
i cant get a simple time based rule going to work.
i just want to switch on a rf-relais (homeduino) at 10:00 in the morning, and switch it off at 20:00 in one rule!
tried with before/after but that dont work for me…

@Nikolov welcome to Pimatic.
when it is 10:00 then switch yourlamp on and after 10 hours switch yourlamp off
The rule is pretty self explaining
If im correct, pimatic reactivates the rules after a restart. Lets say you restart at 13:00, it will then count 10 hours so it would switch off at 23:00 instead of 20:00.
Normally you should use two rules
when it is 10:00 then switch yourlight on
when it is 20:00 then switch yourlight off
That is why you should use two rules, independent from each other
I dont do much time based rules so maybe anyone has an alternative.

ok perfect thanks a lot! but is there a Way to pack this two rules into one? just for a cleaner look in the gui? maybe with some [ ] in the config?

@Nikolov you could look into using a timer device maybe? I dont know how a timer device handles a crash/reboot…
