I want to use geofencing with my iphone to open my door - it worked already pretty fine, but with the missing possibility to use credentials as part of the URL it doesn’t work any longer. Disable authentication for the API isn’t a solution for me, because of security concerns. Also usage of the pimatic phone plugin isn’t a solution for me - because it uses to much phone power. I’m using know Home Remote and Locative as apps for geofencing. Is there another way to to use the api without disable authentification?

Sounds good. Tried it, but wasn‘t successful with connecting to pimatic from the app – got an error message (can connect via api within my lan with http://192.168.0.233:85/api/device/…). I‘m using iOS 11. @sweebee any idea?

Is port 85 correct? Normaly it should be 80.

yes - as I wrote, I testet the API with my browser on my iPhone and it worked. If I’m using the same connection string (see above) with the app - I got the error message: “Can’t connect to pimatic, please check your connection settings”
