Pidfile exists, but process is dead.

Hi i have start pimatic with the command service pimatic start.
after a different timeperiod i can not connect to the web interface. if i look for the status i get the error Pidfile exists, but process is dead.

Do you have an idea how i can get pimatic service permanent on?

Normally pimatic should run until you stop it or an error occurres.
Pls look into the pimatic-deamon.log and show for error messages.

there isn´t any error

Maybe your DB file is corrupt, you could rename it. Next time pimatic starts it will make a new one.

did you update anything?
system update via apt-get update/ upgrage or rpi-update, pimatic update, homeduino sketch flashed new to the arduino?
what arduino do you have? recently there were issues with nanos using the FTDI serial controler.

Remove the dhtxx plugin it crashes.

Not sure if it matters, but: do you start Pimatic as sudo?

sudo service pimatic start

Hi it works now, but i dont have an idea what i was.

i make a sudo bash
and after that i start make service pimatic start.

but sweetpi is right! the old dhtxx plugin is faulty and there’s a new one that he released : https://github.com/pimatic/pimatic-dht-sensors
keep in mind to install wiring-pi. the readme will point you to this!
