Update issue Pimatic v0.9.40
-
@marvandorth okay, next error;
14:37:13.701 [pimatic] Loading plugin: "pimatic-node-red" (1.0.6) 14:37:14.760 [pimatic] Unexpected token ILLEGAL 14:37:14.927 [pimatic] SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL
Either node-red didnt update correct, or isnt compatible. I think.
Try to reinstall node-red first;
cd /home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/ sudo rm -r pimatic-node-red cd .. sudo npm install pimatic-node-red
As alternative to be sure, try starting pimatic after you do rm -r pimatic-node-red (this will probably fail due to settings in your config but i want to know if the error is gone)

pimatic-node-red
My personal recommendation is to remove this plugin and to install node-red-conrib-pimatic as part of node-red

Alright guys… Almost done…
The weird NPM bugs are gone I guess… Also removed node-red, wasn’t really using it anyway.
Now the next one… The Pimatic service isn’t able to start properly. Couldn’t restart pimatic either after removing the plugin node-redhttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1H8n_lL3v5JaNSeyYS3-wZA3B0zn6u1qrvRNXjdM-p9U/edit?usp=sharing

@marvandorth how about just running pimatic.js? This works now?
As for the service script, please post the code;
sudo nano /etc/init.d/pimatic
I want to know if the path’s are correct so also post output of;
whereis node
On a side note, your sdcard could also be corrupt. Run following as root to allow for a system check;
shutdown -rF now
-
Running the command pimatic.js shows the following error:
*root@Pimatic:/home/pi/pimatic-app# pimatic.js
/home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatic/node_modules/fs.extra/node_modules/walk/lib/walk.js:4

@marvandorth starting to think your sdcard is corrupt. Could you try and fix it with the command i gave earlier.
Strange errors. Backup your config.json external, just in case.
Maybe @mwittig has an idea? Im out of bullets
-
I’m shutting the pi down right now with the command you gave earlier in your post!
I understand your frustation =’) I’m also out of bullets! Think I’m starting over again on a newer pi (runs on the old model B+)Anyways thanks for your help! It meant a lot to me!

I think it is an corrupt SD-Card, too.

So doing a complete reinstall is the solution… Think I’m going to do that then.
Switching over to a Pi 3… Old model B+ isn’t that fast anyways
