[pimatic-echo] Add support for changing dimlevel

I’ve just released version 0.2.0 of the pimatic-echo plugin, which adds support for dimming your lights, as this was the most requested feature of all pimatic-echo users.
After updating, you must remove all existing devices from pimatic and then rescan for your devices. You will notice that the device type changes from “WeMo Switch” to “Lux Light”.

Donations should be contributed to the pimatic project rather than to individuals, imho.
Note, donations to the project are less than costs for the pimatic web site hosting which Oliver has to pay on private expense.

But…wait… is that really correct ?? I have to remove ALL devices in pimatic to get them apear in echo ?
I have more than 200 devices… i can´t recreate all of them again !?

I guess remove them from the Amazon Alexa app and search again… the devices for the plugin should be created on the fly on startup.
However I could not test it yet and you can read it both ways.

@hyperx no you don’t. Removing from alexa is enough. This is because the type changes. Just rescan using your Alexa app and all of your devices should show up again.

Make sure you are using the latest version. There was a bug in 0.2.0. Latest version is 0.2.3.

Will be interesting if it finds all of your devices at once.

i´m on 0.2.3 and i can´t find any devices. (only the one excluding pimatic)
maybe i have to change the config in pimatic … ? "The ip address of the system running this plugin."
This is the ip adress of Alexa itself, right ?

just to be clear: with 0.1 i had all (allmost) devices found inside alexa

@hyperx with a “normal” pimatic setup, you don’t need to configure anything. Just activate the plugin and all supported devices show up when scanning with the echo (dot). If you excluded any devices in your config, these will be obviously ignored.
This part didn’t change in this version. I had not problems at all finding all devices. But I have just 12 devices. Maybe that’s the problem?

nothing… still no devices found.
I have also created a new dummyswitch device, i can also see the additional names for echo… but inside Alexa app it can´t find any device.

@hyperx could you post your plugin config and one device config of a device that is supposed to be found? How many devices do you have?

How many ? I can´t tell how many… i´m on pimatic more than 2 years… maybe soon 3. And i have ap. 200 or 300 devices.
Before on vers. 0.1 Amazon Alexa found about 150 devices, still some where missing.

@hyperx seems valid. I’ve googled for the maximum number of devices that are allowed in one Hue bridge. It’s 63! (https://developers.meethue.com/content/63-lights-limit)

Maybe that’s the problem. If you want to find out add the exclude config to all of your devices except one.

i´ve done exactly what you have written… but still the only device is not found !?
there is no skill to install inside alexa-app ?

having the same issue here. after deleting all wemo devices, the amazon app doesn’t find any hue devices at all.
here’s the debug output from the echo plugin if you need more information pls tell me where to have a closer look.

for me the following entry looks very strange :

for your information, i have no hue bridge but a tradfri bridge and two tradfri bulbs.
do we have to add any skill in the amazon app?

@leader21 No, you don’t need any extra skills . Please test for me if you can access these urls:

http://pimatic-ip:9876/description.xml
http://pimatic-ip:9876/api/anyuser/lights

(Please replace pimatic-ip with the ip that the debug log shows. In your case this was 192.168.178.87)

These urls are called by Alexa to check which devices are available. Please make sure you don’t have any firewalls so these urls can be reached by Alexa. There must be no security like username/password whatsoever.

i have the same problem. Alexa found no device, after update.

Do you all have any extra Hue or Tradfri bridges? Actually this shouldn’t be a problem, but at the moment a have no clue what’s the problem.
If there is a dev having the same problems it would be great to get some help, debugging.

I dont have a extra Hue or Tradfri bridge. For now i am using branche 0.1.0. , too bad would like to have dimlevel. Thanks for your work , hope it works soon.
