@Thrusty i think it would work. There’s always the good ol trial and error, so try it and post back A.S.A.P

@Gleno0h Thanks for the quick answer. Possibly it does not go because of the other CPU structure. He has sent me this picture:
It is no Raspberry! Even if it looks so. It is Raspian pixel for PC and Mac. It runs on a Loptop of an USB-Stick.Up to this point his preparation ran for the installation without problems, according to his words.
I have had a look at the first line of this file. Now I do not have a lot of notion, but in this line an ARM architecture is also pointed out several times. The first line of this file looks to me thus:

@Thrusty I don’t think this is a problem of the cpu architecture because pimatic is based on node!
I think he should check his installation of node! Because there seems to be the problem. -
@techbarney Is there a version from node which runs on a laptop and is supported from pimatic?

@Thrusty I just tried the Raspian Pixel in a virtual machine!
Here are the steps to get pimatic working:- Install nodejs:
curl -sL https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_4.x | sudo -E bash - sudo apt install nodejs
-
Test the installation:
node --version
should be:v4.8.4
-
Install pimatic:
cd /home/pi/ mkdir pimatic-app npm install pimatic --prefix pimatic-app --production cd pimatic-app cp ./node_modules/pimatic/config_default.json ./config.json
Do the configure of the admin password by an editor, for example:
sudo geany /home/pi/pimatic-app/config.json
Then start pimatic:
sudo node_modules/pimatic/pimatic.js
I hope this will help you and your friend!
