Problems programming Attiny

I received my Arduino Uno today! Ready for programming the ATtiny. My first time doing this. @sweebee, I added the code in Arduino 1.6.3 and installed library ‘NewRemoteSwitch’ from ‘fuzzillogic’, but I get an error after verfiy the code (maybe not the place/topic to be discussed );

Sorry for my stupid question, but what’s about the isp-programmer-sketch you have to bring to your arduino? Have you done that? It’s called ArduinoISP in the samplesketches of arduino IDE. And the Attiny ‘hardwarelibs’ are also neccesary.

@skipper79 Did you select the attiny before compiling? Cause PCMSK etc… is only supported for attiny’s. I get that error also while i have still selected an arduino.

Select board > attiny and compile then.

skipper postet this issue within the “show your hardware threat”, so i separated it from there into this threat here to keep the "show your hardware "threat “clean”.

Thanks, this was one of the issues. I get it working now after the following!!;
–> burn the arduino ide bootloader and upload the script again; thanks to @leader21 issue
–> use ATtiny85 8MHz instead of 1Mhz, which does not work in my case
(same as misakm mentioned earlier)
–> changed the wiring to the motion sensor; thanks to @sweebee

@sweebee, what is the difference between using the ATtiny85 with 1Mhz and 8Mhz? Less power?

@skipper79 Exactly, slower processor means less energy consumption.
