I just released an iOS app that interacts with pimatic.
It’s called Pimate and is available for iPhone and iPad from iOS 9.3 upwards.
The app comes in english and german.

You can setup the connection to Pimatic and then select the
devices you want to see on the startscreen.

At the moment the following device templates are working:
HomeduinoRFSwitch and other “switches” should work too
FritzTemperatureSensor
HomeduinoRFWeatherStation
DummyTemperatureSensor
FritzThermostat
ButtonsDevice
HomeduinoRFShutter
ContactSensor
PresenceSensor
ShellSensor

There are still features to come (like supporting more devices).

If you use HTTPS the name or IP has to be in the certificate, else it won’t work.
If you use a self-signed certificate you need to import it on your iOS Device, easiest way is to mail it to yourself and open the attachment.
In addition since iOS 10.3 you have to active trust your certificate by going to Settings->General->About, scroll to the end to “certificate trust settings” check your certificate

Since pimatic is so easy to customize it can happen that a device
is not controllable or even the app can crash.
If this happens you can reset the app in the ios settings.

Thanks for the key.

I have just add a few devices - ok there work. But, any devices dont show the data like Temperature.

The reload after update of a device looks like a bug - the Interface Looks like “Home” from iOS. I dont see why i just use the app steht this state.
But - i try the next Release.

Can you tell me which kind of devices show no data?
If you can send me a screenshot, I will try to implement theses device types.

I tried to test a lot but because of the mass of plugins and device types I can’t cover everything from the start

The reload animation is only a blur over the icons to visually show that you can’t interact act the moment. It only lasts as long as your pimatic server needs to respond.
If you run pimatic for example on a raspberry pi 3 you shouldn’t be seeing very much of this.

I’m just a single developer, and I have several weeks on this. I use Pimatic since about 2 years and had an android phone
for a long time.I used the alpha of pimatic for Anrdroid but it wasn’t what I wanted, same for the mobile frontend.
I wanted a simple app to interact quickly with pimatic, and I wanted to learn as I’m not a professional full-time iOS developer.

The price is not to make me rich, it’s just to even out the expenses I had developing this.
And I think it’s better to charge a relatively small amount one time than all the other ways (ads / subscription models)

If you want to try, there are still promo codes available and even if you buy it and don’t like it you can get your money back over the app store

• Wettervorhersage seems to work

• I assume “Ecklampe” is a switch, I will have a look at this

  you can fix for now if you provide a custom value for On/Off in your device in pimatic

• is “ping wemos” a PingPresence device? this is already on my todo

• I have no idea what the other three gray ones are, when you go to settings -> devices you should see the template under the device name, if you tell me what it is I’ll try to implement them.

I looked into the metar-weather plugin and will support it with the next release.

The mqtt plugin is a little more difficult, i will try to get it running on my system to get this working too

The ButtonsDevice should work when there is only one button in the device, Usage with multiple Buttons is coming.
I will have a look at the Variables Device and the AmazingDash is coming too.

I’m not sure if I can setup the Max and Mysensors plugin without actually having such a device but I will try to add support for them.

If there are any suggestions for the UI or other requests please be free to reply

Max and Mysensors aren‘t much important for me. But the device, which i‘m missing the most, is HomeduinoRFTemperature. I have several thermometers, that use this device.

I think you are not the only one , will be working in the next update

At first i wasn‘t sure, if i have a use case for this app. On my iPad Pro 9,7 Safari loads the Pimatic UI very fast in about 1 second. So i can easily turn devices on/off in the UI. But on my old iPad 3 (2012) it‘s completely different. Starting the UI in Safari takes “ages“ (15 seconds). It‘s a pain in the butt, if you just want to turn on a switch. Since the Pimate App starts up almost instantly, controlling Pimatic on my old iPad is much faster now.

Is it an idea to create some kind of separation for different rooms/floors?

And another goes would be:

• just a cosmetic thing - would it be possible to only reload the icon which i’am switching
• at the moment it reloads the hole page after switching…

And it works also at iPhone 6s with iOS 11 Public Beta…
