I made a rtl_433 receiver a long time ago and integrated this in the vhduino… That’s the module I was talking about @layereight

Help, homeduino not working anymore [Solved]
-
Thanks for fast reply.
I have some of the cheap and bad ones and one RXB6. No one is working.
-
Ok i think i got it.
Copied your config example from your git. It seems it all has to be in the right order.
{
“plugin”: “homeduino”,
“driver”: “gpio”,
“driverOptions”: {},
“enableReceiving”: true,
“receiverPin”: 17,
“transmitterPin”: 18,
“active”: true,
“connectionTimeout”: 120000,
“rfrepeats”: 20,
“debug”: true

Hey @cbrauweiler,
sorry for the delayed reply. Were you able to solve your problem in the meantime? As far as I can see it, everything looks good.
How close do you come with your remote to the receiver in order to test receiving?
-
Hey @DaanNL,
good to hear from you. Also sorry for the delayed reply.
What module exactly are you referring to? I know there are some “old” DVB-T sticks out there with Realtek chips that can be tuned to receive 433MHz signals. Do you suggest @cbrauweiler to get one of those because they are better? How to configure the homeduino plugin then? Could you elaborate a bit further on this topic, please?
Thank you!

@layereight As i said above it is fixed. more or less The plugin config must have the right order like above and like in the example on git.
Actually i can receive and send, but i don`t see the receives in the debug log but i got the data from an outdoor temperature sensor.

Anyone got the fix available the link is broken…
-
Hey @simonbove,
the fix was merged back to the original project and released by @mwittig. Just install the latest version of the homeduino plugin. It should just work fine. Also see: https://forum.pimatic.org/topic/4612/pimatic-homeduino-0-9-15/7

Thank you for the uplifting news 😁

On my system which is installed new and everything is up to date, the homeduino switches does not work anymore. I always get an timeout, but no log messages. Does anyone know this behavior and has a solution for it?
-
@tees There’s a bug in the latest version that causes log messages not to be shown in the GUI. You can find a fix for that here https://forum.pimatic.org/topic/4717/pimatic-0-9-53/33 Hope this helps.

@fregger Yes i recognized this also and have written in the forum about it. But after the update, the homeduino does still send nothing in the logs.
I am using more and more osram smart plug but its not fine if the homeduino still is not working. -
@tees Take a look at this thread, it might take you in the right direction: https://forum.pimatic.org/topic/4511/solved-recover-from-arduino-disconnect
