Pimatic-plex plugin 0.9 not working

Hello,

i have installed the pimatic-plex plugin v0.0.6 with the fix provided by @sweebee

i also added this to my config:

and I have added the ip of my rpi and my pc to the Plex server list of devices that can access the service without auth.

the following url returns the status nicely: wget http://192.168.1.111:32400/status/sessions when run by rpi.

so I am confused why it won’t work. Anybody has this working?

Well I didn’t get the plugin to work after hours… So I went and created my own solution… It is literally the most hacky way of doing it but I needed something quick, simpel and reliable…

install shell-execute plugin
nano ~/plex-status.php
paste this: https://github.com/defser/plex-status/blob/master/plex-status.php
ctrl + X
enter
create a new device in pimatic:

“class”: “ShellSensor”,
“attributeName”: “plex-samsung-tv”,

“command”: “php /home/pi/plex-status.php SERVER_IP SERVER_PORT DEVICE_ID”,

replace:
SERVER_IP: your local Plex server ip
SERVER_PORT: your local Plex server port
DEVICE_ID: the desired device from: http://SERVER_IP:SERVER_PORT/status/sessions
(if you get a 401 Unauthorized: add your ip and your rpi ip to the list of devices that can access the service without auth… make the ip of the rpi static in your router. don’t know how to do that? search it on google.)
