The Ikea bridge can control hue lights.
Did you try it? It is just what the guy posted on the aforementioned thread 24 hours ago.
This library appears to be in the early stages, the underlying coap-dtls implementation in particular. I am not sure why people start reinventing the weel over and over given that there are coap and dtls implementations out there.
i wrote a crappy python implementation based on a github ikea tradfri implementation. Its a server and an observer. The server can switch bulbs (simple curl requests) and the observer checks for external (remote/app) changes and pushes them to pimatic via api.
Currently working with 11 bulbs and 2 Groups. Can set Mood(for groups), Color, brightness, state and checks reachability.
it would be very fine if someone writes a native pimatic implementation. but this works so far…
But it looks like you need the gateway for the firmware update unfortunately
@mwittig it is not only you. But it is written that the bulbs delivered from beginning of Autumn should have the new firmware on it. But how you can decide/see which is new which is old…
It is time for a new service in the forum updating the bulbs
Good News I tested it today…I ordered from eBay a tradfri package for omly a third of the original price and updated to the newest firmware and what should I say… everything is fine and great…it works with hue bridge the Ikea bulbs
P.S.: to get the connection to the hue bridge the distance must be very very close 1cm or so…
Would you please send ebay link?
Doesn’t make sense because I bought it…
Looks like your connection to pimatic forum was lost, please wait while we try to reconnect.
