[Solved] pimatic-angular-material-frontend shows only an empty page

Hi,
i ´am new here and played with pimatic only the last to weeks! Now i have installed the pimatic-angular-material-frontend plugin, but it shows me only an nearly empty page on http://<hostname>/material .
What did i wrong? Must i do further setups or something else? Is there a How to set up for the pimatic-angular-material-frontend plugin?

It should work out of the box given that you have activated the plugin once. You can check the activation state on the plugin page of the regular pimatic frontend. If it is activated, the deactivate button will be be displayed as shown below-

Can you see the page names on the top bar? It should show “Favourites”, at least. What happens if you choose “Devices” from the meni in the top left corner?

now i have no access to my pi. I will check this at six in the evening. But i nearly sure that the plugin is activated. Then i can also send you a screenshot.

Which browser do you use? Current Versions of Edge / Firefox / Chrome are known to work.
IE (Internet Exploder) is not supported.

Please remove the pimatic-angular-material-frontend files and restart pimatic as follows (assuming your installation directory is /home/pi/pimatic-app)

sudo rm -rf /home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatic-angular-material-frontend
sudo service pimatic restart

If it still does not work please send me the log file. May be it is some other failure. Does the normal frontend load properly?

I use the chrom: 55.0.2883.87 m (64-bit) on Windows 7 but it shows the same on the Chromium at the pi with the Version 51.0.2704.91 Built on Ubuntu 14.04, running on Raspbian 8.0

I removed the files. No success!

I glanced over the log file entries. Everything looks ok to me. Maybe a caching issue. Can you please try to open it in an incognito browser window?

I tried it in an incognito window. But it is also the same screen.

Yes. I have revisited the log file and noticed that you’ve probably restarted pimatic too early, while the plugin installtion was still in progress! For this reason my suggestion is to remove pimatic-angular-material-frontend once more using the following more procedure

• Shutdown pimatic:
  sudo service pimatic stop
• Remove angular-material-frontend:
  sudo rm -rf /home/pi/pimatic-app/node_modules/pimatic-angular-material-frontend
• Now start pimatic and let it run for at least 5 minutes!
  sudo service pimatic start
• You can inspect progress by monitoringthe log file:
  tail -f /home/pi/pimatic-app/pimatic-daemon.log
  When you see the following message you should be able to material web page.
  [pimatic-angular-material-frontend] info: Generated index.htm

Now it works!
