I´m sure that this has been discussed some times… but i haven´t found anything that can help me:
is it possible to see the State of a button ?
Problem is, that i don´t want to use toggle buttons, because if e.g. a device has been shut off “by hand” it´s still ON.
so if the device is ready again i have to toggle the button first OFF then ON.
Is it possible to add a “state Bulb” or somthing inside “ButtonsDevice” or somthing similar ?

Why do you dont use a ButtonsDevice instead of an SwitchDevice?
You say that the state of the device can be wrong in the Gui, then you can ignore it.But sweetpi and i have planed to implement a feature to split the toggle of switch device into separate on and of states. so it should be possible to re send an off command when switch is already off. At the moment this is possible with rules and switch devices or an ButtonsDevice.

Of course i can use a ButtonsDevice, but then i don´t know the state of the device.
The best solution could be, that the last button that has been pressed, should be highlighted.Okay, if we can split the toogle switch, this could be a solution too…
… What do you mean that at the moment it is possible with rules ? Still i don´t know what button has been pressed at last… -
Use a normal SwitchDevice to control your plug. Then add a DummyButton with a Button Off.
And one rule
If Button Off is pressed then switch Switch offpimatic rocks!!!

Okay, this could be a good idea, but is it possible to add a button AND a switch in a row ?
If i have more then 10 switches, it will be a little bit to much on the screen. -
Not at the moment. Sorry
