Hello, I have a question, the MQTT buttons in Homebridge are not supported? I have several sensors connected via Espeasy (temperature / air humidity). This also works. Now I want to have an MQTT button and a state sensor displayed in Homebridge. Unfortunately this does not work.

MQTT Sensor Over Homebridge

maybe @michbeck100 knows more or maybe @wutu?
maybe a workaround ? create a variablesdevice for to display values and a dummybutton for switching ?
just a guess since i do not use apple devices and homekit.pimatic v0.9 has been released!

@strato345 For MQTT support have a look at https://www.npmjs.com/package/pimatic-mqtt

@strato345 When using pimatic-mqtt every provided device should be supported. Note that currently for a ButtonsDevice just the first button shows up. But i’m planning to extend that in the future.

Thank you for your quick response . In pimatic itself the MQTT button switches and sensors work. In Homridge I see only the switch and humidity no temperature no buttons that come from ESPeasy over Mqtt.

@strato345 just to be sure, when you are talking about Homebridge you mean pimatic-hap, right? That’s not the same .
It would be helpful to see your device configuration for the mqtt devices. Please raise an issue at https://github.com/michbeck100/pimatic-hap/issues
Note that the attributes for temperature and humidity must be named exactly like that, because the plugin looks for these attribute names. Maybe you are using different names?pimatic-hap - pimatic HomeKit bridge

Thx it was the names 😂 But the push buttons I still can not see.
We are actually talking about pimatic-have what yes over homebridge with homekit communicates* -
@strato345 I need to be more precise: buttons are just supported, if the device has only one button. Devices with more buttons are ignored. As is said, this might change in the future, but for now this would explain why you don’t see the buttons.
Regarding “homebridge”: this is just another homekit bridge implementation like pimatic-hap (see https://github.com/nfarina/homebridge). It’s more generic because its not bound to any platform like pimatic, but has some limitations that pimatic-hap doesn’t have.pimatic-hap - pimatic HomeKit bridge

Oh sorry I have confused homebridge with homekit. I would then like to create a button to switch a device on and off. Do you have an example for me? Of course, a MQtt button device.
-
@strato345 i have no example because I don’t use pimatic-mqtt. But it sounds like you need this: https://github.com/wutu/pimatic-mqtt/blob/development/README.md#switch-device
A switch should show up in HomeKit without problems.pimatic-hap - pimatic HomeKit bridge
