Is it possible to cancel or stop a running rule. I have a rule that does something after 8 minutes and after 10 minutes, sometimes a variable change in between and then I want to stop the rule.

Cancel / Stop running rule

Possibly you could say that after 8 minutes another rule should be triggered. Within this rule you first check your variables before execution.

that’s a good question. this is not possible (yet) afaik.
i will move this thread to the feature requests.
could be an interesting option if integration is possible.pimatic v0.9 has been released!

It is not possible and it is not easy to implement.
It is a desirable feature, though."It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.", Hofstadter's Law

Maybe it would be easier to implement activation/deactivation of a rule by another rule?

Nice to hear that it is an interesting feature. I understand it is not easy (or even possible) to implement. I think as SaxnPaule said maybe it is possible to deactivate and active the rule by another rule (it should does the trick ).
@quotschmacher thanks for your quick reply, I have set it up that way now and works fine .

Good to hear even it is just a workaround.
