Problem with the battery sensor level graph

Hello,

I don’t know if it is a bug or if I had configure the sensors wrong…

My problem is, I have 6 MySensors who powered with batteries. But all sensors shows the same battery level.
When I looked at the graph I can see that all sensors shows the same level, I can also see that the level goes from 90% to 100% to 96% I think if one sensor updates the level it’s for all sensors.

Maybe it is because I give all sensors the same node-id and only different sensor-ids.

A MySensors node can have a set of sensors but only one battery. The node is identified by the node id. So it must be unique for ever node in your network.

Thanks for the info, so I have to reprogram my sensors so that all have different Node-IDs.

Yes it’s important to give every hardware pice (arduino/esp…) a separate node_id. You can also set the id inside the sketch to “Auto” and let the controller (pimatic-plugin) assign the ids. Afaik, this will be done at first registration of a new node, with auto discovery for example.
Be aware, the NodeID is stored inside the arduino eeprom by MySensor firmware and will not change later.
I use “ClearEepromConfig.ino” sketch, from MySensor examples, for each device to clear everything before flashing a new sketch on previous used hardware!

That means also when I assigned the Node-ID in the sketch it will saved on the Eeprom and when I want to give the Sensor anoter Node-ID in the sketch I have to clear first the Eeprom?

The “ClearEepromConfig.ino” sketch is on the MySensor Website?

no, when uploading a sketch with fixed node id it will overwrite the old setting. Only when using auto node IDs you should clear the eeprom to avoid ID collision.

May be I am not up to date, but as far as I know pimatic-mysensors requires fixed node IDs.

no, mysensors plugin works with auto assigned node IDs.
