mysensors is not working anymore

Need urgent help for mysensors pugin.

Yesterday I detected that pimatic-mysensors isn’t working anymore. Before it works fine over month. The only thing I can remember is that I updated the plugin to 0.8.35. But going back to 0.8.34 (I have a backup of this) didn’t help. I use a serial gateway connected via USB and some sensors. On another USB port a homeduino gateway is working very well.

Arduino logging shows normal behavior, means sensors are connecting to gateway and report their values. Pimatic logfile shows not very much, only this:

(Looks similar to ttyUSB0 which is used for homeduino)

If you supsect this to be a v0.8.35 problem you can downgrade to v0.8.34, obviously. Maybe other users can please report back if they have updated already. Thanks!

As I mentioned I had an backup with the older version tried and this didn’t work too. Btw. how is the procedure to downgrade a plugin?

I have no solution yet. Without help I must give up. I replaced arduino nano as well as RF-Modul. Nothing helped.

Reading this I have no clue. Seems the gateway works fine since you receive signals in the arduino IDE monitor?

Than the only thing could be that pimatic doesn’t see this messages. So maybe the wrong port. But you seem to have connected it right.

Do you also have homeduino? I had sometimes that USB0 and USB1 were swapped and it didn’t work anymore.

@sweebee yes I have homeduino on ttyusb0 and it works while mysensors on ttyusb1 doesn’t.

Played a little bit around and detected that device id changes from ttyUSB1 to ttyUSB2 for mySensors. Homeduino keeps on ttyUSB0 always. Plugging in out out the USB connector and suddenly mySensors worked. I am not sure if this will continue in future.

Than I recomment you to use the Serial by Path method.

@V1per Thanks. I didn’t thought that this might be the reason because my system has been stable for long now. I will try it with serial-by-path. See #42 and #1005.
