LIRC again (Non-pimatic issue)

I guess I’m the guy with the highest LIRC-Thread rate in this board…
I already had a try on google but with no results.

Installing LIRC was a pain in the a** everytime I did.
Now, I don’t even get it installed correctly.

after sudo apt-get install lirc (no errors occured)

the path /etc/init.d/lirc is missing. Also the file /etc/lirc/hardware.conf wasn’t created.
So I’m not able to run lirc. I’ve tried to purge / re-install and update apt. No success.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Current Pi installation is 3 weeks old.

Short update: No success.
What I did:

• apt-get upgrade
• purge/remove everything depending lirc
• apt-get update
• apt-get install lirc
• repeat

both:

/etc/init.d/lirc and /etc/lirc/hardware.conf won’t be created.
No error messages.

Seems that I’m the only guy in the world who has this issues.
I think I will flash a new SD card this weekend. Little bit frustrating…
