[solved]Value of (semi?)-discrete variable not updated in the graph window

Hello,
i have one variable (target_temp). Based on two rules it is either assigned from the setpoint of the dummy thermostat, or the value of a shell sensor (currently the shell sensor variable is defined as discrete).

I display the variable target_temp as a variable device on the home screen, and the value is always correct. However, its value does not change in the graph window but remains constant. If i change the variable type to non-discrete, it gets updated in the graph immediately (according to the actual value). If i then switch back to discrete, the graph looks as expected.

Some how i have the feeling, that because the variable is set by two different sources the problem occurs.
Anyone an idea? The more i test the more confused i get.

i “solved” the issue by extending each rule with “… OR $target_temp was not updated for 1 minutes”.

By this, the variable now gets a value assigned each minute (even if its almost always the same). However, now i can declare the variable as non-discrete and still have a nice (discrete-looking) drawing which is always updated to the correct value in the graph.
