Pimatic Supported Thermostats

Hi all,

I’m in the need of buying myself a new thermostat, but would love to integrate it to PiMatic as well.
After looking trough the supported devices i cannot find any devices supported.

Is their a list availible of supported (smart) thermostats which can be integrated in PiMatic?
e.g. Nest, Netatmo, Heatmiser etc.

I know i can connect my Pi to control the temp, but my girlfriend like to keep control “the old fasioned way”.

@jovak89 i cant give you an exact answer as to brands. I am using an essent e-thermostat.

Pimatic has the ability to execute scripts.

This allows us to get output from a bash/python script or send input.

Currently i use a script that uses curl, you can see curl as a headless browser.

For example, my script logs in and changes the temp through curl.

Then it us just a matter of creating a dummy thermostat and make rules:

When $cvtemp.temperatureSetpoint gets updated then execute "/home/pi/pimatic-app/scripts/temperatuur.sh set $cvtemp.temperatureSetpoint"

So in short: i think any thermostat that can be controlled from a webpage/api is compatible. Does nest have a webpage where you log in and set temp? Then it would be compatible.

I do not know, as i currently do not own one, but from the time i Did, i do not recall a website.

I know there is an app, and i also know some one was Working on a nest plugin for pimatic. I myself however, do not have That much knowledge on coding.

@jovak89 i am trying to tell you that if you buy a thermostat that has an api or website for controll, people here can make it work. Im not talking about an app.

well, there are the max! thermostats which you can use either with the cube and the max plugin or with a CUL and the maxcul plugin.
then you can use the Eurotronic comet DECT thermostats if you have a capable fritzbox.
guess the nest plugin needs a rework for v0.9 so i cannot tell anything about it.
