Display time of a switch is on

is there a way to display the time how long a switch is beeing activated?

you could create a numeric variable and a rule to add +1 every minute

I think the timer device can be a good alternative - but it’s displayed in the ui with a start and reset button so it can be manipulated. Or can those butoons be hidden?

You don’t have to put the device in the GUI

It will work from the rules anyway.

@incmve Two small poblems: If pimatic restarted in the meantime the switch kept on but the timer stops. And, probably a bug, when resolution is changed during on state the timer stops.

For what purpose do you need the ontime? You can see the ontime directly in a graph by clicking on it in the GUI
