Thanks for the reply.
I have used a mysensors action provider and handler but still the same error.
Can be the version of mysensors 1.5.4 , 1.5.1 or 2.0.0 the problem? -
@Gleno0h thanks, I tried this one as well - I even got a replacement IR receiver just in case but still when running in mode2 and pressing some buttons on the remote, nothing happens. is there any other way to test this or can someone help me to check my setup step by step? With your tutorial the steps are so simple, I assume that the problem is either in the hardware setup or some other conflicting configuration…
-
@GuybrushMR80 But does it run in mode 2 or does it spit any errors?
If the pins are set correctly it should work. Or you might want to get an NodeMCU ESP8266, they arnt expensive. These are way simpler in my opinion. Just upload an sketch, let it run and press buttons.
For NodeMCU
Transmitter; GPIO 2 - 3.3v and GND
Sender; GPIO 4 - GND, no capacitator used. -
@Gleno0h no errors, that’s what confuses me the most. And it can’t be the sensor as I already tried a completely new one. Might there be some kind of conflict in my setup / configuration? I have an adruino connected via USB where I have a 433Mhz sender / receiver connected - that’s about it when it comes to hardware. For the software it’s a “pure pimatic” setup. I feel kind of stuck at the moment.

@GuybrushMR80 its hard to tell. Could you post your boot/config.txt and your terminal after executing mode2? I had an error when trying to run mode2 but after i fixed it, it worked so its hard to say whats wrong with your setup. Did you consider getting an nodemcu? Cheap and kinda easy haha. What are you trying to achieve?

@Gleno0h thanks for trying to help me here! Really appreciated!
Here’s my config.txt# http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/config-txt.md # Some settings may impact device functionality. See link above for details # uncomment if you get no picture on HDMI for a default "safe" mode #hdmi_safe=1 # uncomment this if your display has a black border of unused pixels visible # and your display can output without overscan #disable_overscan=1 # uncomment the following to adjust overscan. Use positive numbers if console # goes off screen, and negative if there is too much border #overscan_left=16 #overscan_right=16 #overscan_top=16 #overscan_bottom=16 # uncomment to force a console size. By default it will be display's size minus # overscan. #framebuffer_width=1280 #framebuffer_height=720 # uncomment if hdmi display is not detected and composite is being output #hdmi_force_hotplug=1 # uncomment to force a specific HDMI mode (this will force VGA) #hdmi_group=1 #hdmi_mode=1 # uncomment to force a HDMI mode rather than DVI. This can make audio work in # DMT (computer monitor) modes #hdmi_drive=2 # uncomment to increase signal to HDMI, if you have interference, blanking, or # no display #config_hdmi_boost=4 # uncomment for composite PAL #sdtv_mode=2 #uncomment to overclock the arm. 700 MHz is the default. #arm_freq=800 # Uncomment some or all of these to enable the optional hardware interfaces #dtparam=i2c_arm=on #dtparam=i2s=on #dtparam=spi=on # Uncomment this to enable the lirc-rpi module #dtoverlay=lirc-rpi # Additional overlays and parameters are documented /boot/overlays/README # Enable audio (loads snd_bcm2835) dtparam=audio=on # NOOBS Auto-generated Settings: hdmi_force_hotplug=1 dtoverlay=lirc-rpi,gpio_in_pin=23,gpio_out_pin=22
My terminal when running mode2 is just empty, no error or anything. And yes, I tried it with multiple remotes already.
I have no idea what that nodemcu is you’re recommending but I’ll look it up.
Cheers! -
oh, totally forgot to mention what I’m up to: I have a logitech harmony hub and I want to use the remote to control pimatic. The idea is to just get the hub to fire some IR signals towards pimatic and pimatic in return will send 433mhz signals to turn on the lights. “some IR signals” would be taken from any unused IR remote to “learn” it to the hub…

@GuybrushMR80 the terminal is empty because it does start in mode2, so thats good. You used a breadboard? Try the receiver directly on gpio. From the frontview left pin is out, put that on correct gpio pin, middle is ground, put that on ground, right is either 3.3v or 5v. If not working post a picture of your wiring.

@Роман-Ляшенко so you are a creator of intestins?
appendix
əˈpɛndɪks/Verzenden
noun
plural noun: appendixesANATOMY
a tube-shaped sac attached to and opening into the lower end of the large intestine in humans and some other mammals. In humans the appendix is small and has no known function, but in rabbits, hares, and some other herbivores it is involved in the digestion of cellulose.
