[Solved] Refresh value on the ui

Hi to all

i’m writing a pluging for a thermostat

It’s there a way to change a value on the ui when a variable change (without refresh manually the page)??
I have tried it with knockout with:

  @temperature = @getAttribute('result').value()
  @showTemperature = ko.observable(@temperature)

in the template file and…

<span data-bind=“text: showTemperature”></span>

in the ui
but when @temperature change the ui daes not

Ok…find the solution in the iframe plugin
on the constructor :

attribute = @getAttribute("result")
@showTemperature = ko.observable attribute.value()
attribute.value.subscribe (newValue) =>
  @showTemperature newValue

on the ui:

I’m not a coder, so I hope my questions don’t seem dump to you. I thought about something similar to solve a problem with MySensors ACK:
When you use a switch in a MySensors device it is toggled, independent on ACK arriving or not. I know where to change some parts of the code to avoid this change of status, but gui is toggled by default in pimatic. One way I thought about is to invoke an update of the gui switch some seconds after using it. If the ACK was received, this ACK has toggled the internal status to the correct value and gui is correct (but can be updated anyway). If no ACK was received internal status should still be the old and gui status should be updated.
Is this kind of construction possible with knockout as you used it? I would try it on my own, but I have never used js or anything similiar. So reading the code and disabling some lines is the highest I can do on my own. And the main devs of the MySensors plugin seem to be busy.

but the javascript is not so complicated
Start with a Hello World and in a short time
you can change some lines in a plugin.
Nothing it’s impossible
