Normally i install the plugins via gui. Now i tried both, without result. It looks like the pi resets from a back-up. After the reboot it even “forgot” i was logged in a few minutes ago

as long as i dont reboot, everything is fine. Even a restart of pimatic is no problem

Did you try an other sd card?
-
I’m not sure but i don’t think it is the SD card. Pimatic is running perfect as long as i don’t reboot the Pi. But i was planning to use a external drive to boot the Pi.
So just to make sure, i think i have something to do today

Little update.
I tried to run pimatic from a external HDD but i never got it to work properly. 1 thing is for sure, the problem was my SD card. SD cards (or Raspbian?) seem to automaticaly set a write lock if corrupt data is detect to avoid destroying the SD. I setup Pimatic on a fresh card and it works fine again.Now i need to figure out why i can’t boot from a HDD or USB.

@so-what said in everything gone after reboot:

With the latest firmware you should be able to boot from an USB drive. See

@mwittig Thats for a Pi3. The best Pi’s i have is Pi2 "1 running kodi and 1 repetier. Pimatic is running on a B+.

Well, I guess than you’ll have to go the “old” route where the SD-card still has an boot partition and
cmdline.txt
needs to be changed to set the root partition to your external drive. See, for example: https://www.stewright.me/2013/05/install-and-run-raspbian-from-a-usb-flash-drive/"It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.", Hofstadter's Law
